Silk n’ Skirts: NYC Look Book

Hi ya lovlies! Sooo I went to NYC for my birthday & I got so inspired from all of the fashion I was seeing there. I saw so many tea length skirts with heels and even sneakers. I love how these skirts can be super versatile, you can dress them up and down. Perfect for on the go or meeting your friends at brunch. In the first picture I paired this vintage tee with this awesome plum skirt & of course with a little fanny pack, to make the look more casual. In the last picture, I dressed up this amazing magenta skirt from one of the thrift stores in Brooklyn! I love mixing prints & fabrics to make looks more interesting to the eye. Always the rule of thumb is: whenever your mixing prints you have to have the top be a smaller print & bottom be a larger print, visa versa. In my final look I mixed polka dots, stripes with cheetah earrings. Also lets talk about how silk is literally the best fabric ever! In my second look I paired this super chic silk top I got from Banana Republic with a lace bralette underneath with these crazy metallic sunnies also with the same earrings in the last look. I had a crazy fun time shopping & spending time with my family over this long weekend out! More look books are going to come out soon!! Watch out for them 😉
