My First Week at Paul Mitchell

This week was the first week at Paul Mitchell! I’m so excited to learn & grow from this awesome school! Everyone there is super creative & crazy nice! I love how everyone can be their own person without being judged.

By the second day we were already working on our doll heads. We also got to name them! You will see a lot of my doll head, her name is “Deb”. We learned sectioning & we did it about a million times but each time I got faster & more precise.

We learned parts of the skull, skin, & the parts of a hair follicle. My learning leader instructed us on how to do different types of braids, up-do’s, & gave us an assignment to use all the skills we learned to put into a creative hair style. Our theme was Space Vibes. So I created, of course an Avant-Garde French Twist half up half down hair style. My class also learned how to do pin-curls and roller-curls. My favorite part was to create & practice what we learned over & over!!

I want to encourage you to go after whatever you are passionate about. Art and creating have also held a special place in my life and now I get to use my love for creating in cosmetology. Go after your dreams. I promise you it will be the best decision of your life.
